For sale is a vintage Remington Model 600 bolt action rifle chambered in .308. This lightweight, handy rifle was originally designed as a guide gun and was a favorite of Gunsite Academy's founder, the late Col. Jeff Cooper. The rifle features a very smooth action and a crisp trigger. The 18.5" long barrel is topped with a polymer vent rib and brass bead front sight, however there is damage to the vent rib “E L” date code on the barrel indicates that this rifle was made in 1964, the first year of manufacture for the Model 600. The rifle is topped with a Redfield Widefield 3-9x riflescope which features a unique design that offers an exceptionally wide field of view. This combination makes for a fantastic hunting rifle.
