This is a Browning Auto 5 made under military contract by Savage. It is a model 720, semi-auto in 12 gauge. It is U.S. Property marked and has all of the U.S. markings on the receiver and barrel. Based on the serial number it was manufactured in 1942 or 1943. These were used by the U.S. Army to train aerial gunners how to lead when shooting at moving targets. This one is complete with the original Lyman Cutts compensator . Only 14,527 of these were made during the war. It is in great condition with a bright bore and smooth action.
