I have 2 big bore Marlin Levers that I'm selling. Pictured on the LEFT is the Marlin 450. (The one on the right is a Marlin 44 magnum that I put up for sale for $950 on Texas Gun Trader, see that ad).
This ad...selling this rare ported BIG LOOP Marlin 450 Alaskan Guide Gun. It is one of THE most powerful Matthew Quigley style boomers you can buy...a rare ported Marlin 450 lever with scope. I bought this Marlin 450 some years ago from an Alaskan hunter. I had never seen one like it before, and later learned the "ported" barrel ones are very rare and were only made a few years...about 2000-2002.
It is in excellent condition except for a minor rub on the left front bluing by previous owner - see picture. All other bluing is excellent, as is checkering and tight, crisp action. Sale includes custom leather with bandolier (no drilling was required for this leather. Also, sale includes 2 full boxes of ammo (very expensive) and a partial box. Sale also includes the original small lever, and the scope as pictured (has clear optics). You'll note it has the original barrel star stamping, and also has the John Marlin (JM) stamp (pictured). It is a beautiful gun and will likely take down anything with limited recoil given the muzzle ports.
