Colt 1902. The M1900, M1902, M1903, M1905, & M1908 were Colt’s steady march to the M1911.
The M1900 & the M1902 are very similar in size and shape. The M1902 came in 2 models: Military &
Sporter. The Sporter had a rounded butt at the bottom of the backstrap, which was identical to the M1900.
The M1902 Military had a squared off butt (which allowed it to hold a 7th round), and a lanyard loop (both of which were added when the military said that’s what they wanted.
