Up for sale is my Saiga-M. I’m the 3rd owner and this has been a great rifle and a fun little research product.
This came to me with a 23” barrel and I converted it to a 16.25” barrel using a Russian gas block, Russian FSB, and Russian AK100 trigger guard.
What makes this different than a typical Saiga is that the barrel is a little thicker profile and it doesn’t have the side groove cuts for the LHG retainer. I had to use a Romy RPK LHG retainer so that it would fit the barrel.
This didn’t come with the side holes on the receiver but I used some JB Weld to fill the holes on the bottom of the receiver.
The bayonet is an Izzy Bakelite, the mags I have with it are a Russian Slab Side, 2 bakelites, and a Chinese flat back. The sling and the wood is Russian and it has an ALG trigger. I believe the cleaning rod is Russian as well.
As far as round count, my speculation would be less than 400 rounds.
Here's the breakdown of cost:
$1,300 for the rifle
$90 each for the bakelite mags
$80 for the slabside
$30 for the Chinese Flatback
$120 for the Izzy bayonet
$1,710 for all of it (I’m not selling the mags or bayonet separate of the rifle unless the rifle has sold without the mags and bayonet).
If you buy it all for what I’m asking for I’ll throw in over 100 rounds of ammo. I want to say I’ve got at least 300 loose rounds but I’ll say 100 off the top of my head.
I’m located in Madisonville. If you want to travel to meet up I will within reason. I’m putting my “best price” up there.
I’ll listen to trades but I’m not really looking for any and I’m not adding money to this to trade for what you’ve got.
If you have enough stock Glocks in 9mm to trade I’ll trade for those. I will not trade for any Franken Glock build.
