This was purchased from a person that was family to a ww2 USGI veteran who served in the European theater, i dont know if he had made the customization to the grips himself or if the SS officer that carried it did but i can confirm the pictures in the grips of hitler and the officer are original as the glue has browned and dried and they are frail. The grips are lucite a old plastic usually found on planes of the era, the finish of the gun is worn i never shot it but it has a great looking bore. Grips are tight to display but too loose to reasonably shoot and handle the slide. This has all matching serial numbers and should be manufactured between 1917-1920 there were only 40000 or so made total so it is also rare by production numbers too.
